Rainbow Six Partners with Xbox Game Pass for 2025 Esports Season

Tournament organizer BLAST and game developer Ubisoft has officially partnered with Xbox Game Pass for the Rainbow Six competitive season, and there are some exciting perks in store for both live event attendees and Game Pass Ultimate subscribers.

The partnership officially begins with the RE:L0:AD tournament happening in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, from May 10-18, 2025. This event marks the first major tournament of the 2025 Rainbow Six esports season and will feature all 20 organizations participating in the circuit's R6 Share program. It will also serve as the competitive debut for Rainbow Six Siege X, the newest edition of the popular tactical shooter.

According to Ubisoft's announcement, Xbox Game Pass will host special activities at major BLAST R6 events, including the November Major and the Six Invitational 2026. These activities will include gaming areas where fans can play, community events, and opportunities to meet popular Rainbow Six content creators.

But the benefits extend beyond just tournament attendees. Starting in June, Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscribers will receive special in-game benefits for Rainbow Six Siege X. These benefits will change throughout the year to celebrate important milestones in the competitive season. While Ubisoft hasn't revealed exactly what these in-game items will be, they emphasized that players must have an active Game Pass Ultimate subscription to claim them.

Rainbow Six Siege X, launching in June, promises what Ubisoft calls "foundational" upgrades to the core experience, including visual enhancements, audio improvements, a new "Dual Front" mode, and a free-to-play price point.
