Red Dead Redemption Joins Netflix Games: Mobile Release Date Announced

Red Dead Redemption is officially coming to mobile devices through Netflix on December 2, 2025. Fans will soon be able to experience Rockstar’s classic Western adventure on both Android and iOS, marking the franchise’s debut on mobile platforms.

According to the listings on the iOS App Store and Google Play Store, a Netflix membership will be required to play the game.

On iOS, the download size is around 3.1GB, and players will need iOS 18.0 or later (or iPadOS 18.0) to run it smoothly.

It’s worth noting that this mobile release won’t include multiplayer content, focusing entirely on the single‑player experience.

This version isn’t just a stripped‑down port. You’ll get the complete Red Dead Redemption story, where John Marston hunts down his former gang across the American frontier and Mexico. On top of that, the beloved Undead Nightmare DLC is included, transforming the world into a zombie‑infested apocalypse.

Netflix isn't the only one getting this. The upgraded version of Red Dead Redemption is also coming on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch 2, and even PS Plus. Now, with the mobile release confirmed, it feels like Rockstar is making sure the game reaches as many players as possible. And if you’re a Netflix subscriber, you won’t need to pay extra, just download and play.

Meanwhile, Red Dead Redemption 2 continues to make headlines, recently becoming the fourth best‑selling game of all time. There are also ongoing rumors about an enhanced edition of RDR2, though Rockstar hasn’t confirmed anything yet.
