A Change.org petition calling for the removal of Roblox CEO David Baszucki has crossed 100,000 signatures in a week, after the platform moved against predator-hunting YouTuber Schlep.
The petition was started by user MrMhGaming shortly after Roblox sent Schlep, a 22-year-old content creator, a cease-and-desist letter and banned his accounts.
Schlep, known for exposing predators on the game’s servers, had gained a loyal following by taking on the kind of work many players feel Roblox itself should be doing. The company, however, viewed his actions differently — claiming he was engaging in “simulated child endangerment conversations” and encouraging users to move chats off-platform.
That reasoning didn’t sit well with fans. Many saw it as Roblox punishing someone trying to protect kids while failing to act fast enough against actual predators. As one frustrated player put it in a Reddit thread, “They ban the guy trying to keep kids safe, but predators get to stick around until the community makes noise about it.”
The petition itself pulls no punches. It claims Roblox under Baszucki’s leadership has “repeatedly compromised safety,” pointing out how predators often remain active for weeks despite being reported. The statement is direct:
"Children are being exploited and exposed to dangerous content, all while Roblox’s executive leadership turns a blind eye. If nothing changes, this pattern of negligence will continue — and more children will be hurt. This is not just about poor leadership. This is about child safety."
According to the petition, Roblox has also ignored calls for reform and failed to provide transparency, instead punishing whistleblowers and silencing critics. "Roblox’s safety systems are broken — and leadership is doing nothing to fix them," the petition read.
So far, Roblox has not issued a detailed public statement addressing the petition. Baszucki himself has remained largely silent on the matter, which only fuels speculation about the company’s stance. Meanwhile, community members are making it clear that they expect meaningful reforms, not vague corporate reassurances.
Adding to the tension, a new lawsuit was filed this week by the state of Louisiana over similar "predator" concerns.
Additionally, Schlep is now collaborating with investigative journalist Chris Hansen on a documentary about predator activity within Roblox. If this happens, it could heighten public scrutiny and increase pressure on the company’s leadership.
David Baszucki is a fucking pedophile.
