Skyesports, a leading name in gaming and esports, has announced the Skyesports Souvenir 2025 National Championship, an open-for-all Counter-Strike 2 tournament in India. The event, organized in collaboration with ABAI, will be a key event at Bengaluru GAFX 2025, taking place from February 27 to March 1 at The Lalit Ashok, Bengaluru.
Registrations are now open for players across India. Those who sign up will compete in an open qualifier, giving them a chance to secure a spot in the main event. According to reports, the Bengaluru GAFX, supported by the Government of Karnataka, is in its sixth edition and was formerly known as the ABAI Fest.
The Skyesports Souvenir 2025 National Championship is expected to attract around 8,000 attendees, offering both live on-ground experiences and online streaming for fans nationwide. The tournament aims to provide an immersive experience, featuring high-level esports action and insights from industry experts in gaming, animation, and visual effects.
Shiva Nandy, Founder and CEO of Skyesports, shared his thoughts on the event, stating, "The Skyesports Souvenir, an IP established in 2022, has consistently delivered high-quality esports action. This year, by collaborating with ABAI, we are taking it to a larger audience at Bengaluru GAFX through an open-for-all CS2 tournament. This initiative aligns with our vision to make esports a mainstream industry in India."
Players interested in participating have until February 16, 2025, to register. Any inquiries regarding the event can be addressed through the official Skyesports CS2 Discord server. The tournament will follow a structured format, ensuring competitive fairness and excitement.
Tournament Format:
Qualifiers (February 18-20): Registered teams will compete in a single-elimination bracket, with the top two teams advancing to the main event.
Main Event (February 27 - March 1): Two additional teams will receive direct invitations, bringing the total number of competitors to four. These teams will battle for the championship title.
