The Skyesports Championship is coming back for its sixth edition.

This year's tournament will feature Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI) and offer a prize pool of ₹40 lakhs.

The competition will end with a Grand Finals event at the Koramangala Indoor Stadium, Bangalore, on May 17 and 18.

Major brands AMD, Red Bull, GIGABYTE, and Western Digital have joined as partners for the 2025 edition.

"The Skyesports Championship is something we've been building since 2018," said Shiva Nandy, Founder and CEO of Skyesports. "It has grown into one of India's most recognized esports tournaments with many young viewers. We'll create great entertainment with exciting competitive matches featuring India's best teams and players. With new features like the Sky Champ Rule, this tournament will stand out on the BGMI esports calendar."

The return to an in-person BGMI event builds on the success of the 2023 championship. Last year's event reached over 32 million online views and brought more than 12,000 fans to the stadium.

The Skyesports Championship 2025 BGMI Grand Finals new format:

  • Day 1 (May 17) - Sky Surge: Teams will play six maps, trying to reach the Sky Champ point goal of 66 points.

  • Day 2 (May 18) - Sky Champ Rule: Once a team reaches 66 points, they must win a Chicken Dinner to become champions. If no team does this within eight maps, the team with the highest points wins.

The tournament schedule includes:

  • Upper Bracket: May 6-9 (16 teams compete - Top 8 advance to Finals, bottom 8 go to Last Chance Qualifier)

  • Last Chance Qualifier: May 10-12 (16 teams from Upper and Lower Brackets)

  • Grand Finals: May 17-18 (16 teams compete for the championship)

Fans can watch the entire tournament live on the official Skyesports YouTube channel.
