All the Steam Fest dates in 2026: Full schedule

Steam has officially revealed its full lineup of events for 2026, confirming 22 themed Fests, three editions of Steam Next Fest, and four major seasonal sales.


The announcement gives PC gamers a clear roadmap for the year, ensuring plenty of opportunities to discover new titles, grab discounts, and expand their already massive backlogs.

Steam Next Fest 2026

Steam Next Fest remains one of the platform’s most anticipated events, offering players a chance to try hundreds of demos before games hit the market. Alongside demos, the event features developer livestreams, Q&A sessions, and community spotlights. Valve has confirmed three editions for 2026:

  • February 23 – March 2

  • June 15 – June 22

  • October 19 – October 26


22 Themed Fests

In addition to Next Fest, Valve is rolling out 22 themed Fests across the year. These genre- or theme-specific events highlight curated selections of games, often paired with discounts and developer activities.


Some are week-long, while others are shorter “Spotlight” style events. Here’s a snapshot of what’s coming:

  • Detective Fest: January 12 – January 19

  • Board Game Fest: January 26 – February 2

  • Typing Fest: February 5 – February 9

  • PvP Fest: February 9 – February 16

  • Horse Fest: February 19 – February 23

  • Tower Defense Fest: March 9 – March 16

  • House & Home Fest: March 30 – April 6

  • Hidden Object Fest: April 9 – April 13

  • Medieval Fest: April 20 – April 27

  • Deckbuilder Fest: May 4 – May 11

  • Ocean Fest: May 18 – May 25

  • Bullet Fest: June 8 – June 15 (bullet hell/chaos shooters)

  • Social Deduction Fest: July 13 – July 16

  • Train Fest: July 20 – July 27

  • Cyberpunk Fest: August 3 – August 10

  • Pins & Pegs Fest: August 17 – August 20 (pinball, bowling, pachinko-style games)

  • PvE Survival Crafting Fest: August 31 – September 7

  • Programming Fest: September 10 – September 14

  • Party-Based RPG Fest: September 14 – September 21

  • Cooking Fest: October 12 – October 19

  • Steam Scream Fest (Halloween-themed horror): October 26 – November 2

  • Auto-Battler RPG Fest: November 16 – November 23


Seasonal Sales

Of course, no Steam calendar would be complete without its famous seasonal sales. Valve has locked in four major discount events for 2026:

  • Spring Sale: March 19 – March 26

  • Summer Sale: June 25 – July 9

  • Autumn Sale: October 1 – October 8

  • Winter Sale: December 17 – January 4, 2027


Additionally, Steam plans to highlight Black Friday deals in November through its Special Offers hub, though exact details are yet to be announced. As per community updates, these sales remain the biggest draw for players, often leading to massive spikes in purchases and, inevitably, longer backlogs.


With 29 total promotions planned across 344 days, 2026 is shaping up to be one of Steam’s busiest years yet.
