2025 Steam Awards Results: Hollow Knight: Silksong Beats Out Major Competition

The 2025 Steam Awards have wrapped up with Hollow Knight: Silksong taking home the Game of the Year title after tallying an impressive 43.8 million player votes.

Team Cherry's long-awaited Metroidvania sequel managed to edge out strong competition from titles like Arc Raiders, Dispatch, Kingdom Come Deliverance 2, and Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 to claim the top honor.

The challenging Metroidvania also snagged the Best Game You Suck At Award, beating out tough competitors including Path of Exile 2, Elden Ring Nightreign, Marvel Rivals, and Where Winds Meet. It seems players appreciated both the game's quality and its notorious difficulty curve.

Other notable winners included Silent Hill f for Outstanding Visual Style and Arc Raiders for Most Innovative Gameplay. Hades 2 proved its portable prowess by winning Best Game on Steam Deck, while Dispatch captured hearts with the Outstanding Story-Rich Game award.

The Game Awards 2025 winner, Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, also didn't go home empty-handed, securing the Best Soundtrack prize for its memorable musical compositions.

However, several high-profile titles, including Split Fiction, Battlefield 6, Where Winds Meet, Elden Ring: Nightreign, and Blue Prince, walked away without any awards.
