Stellar Blade’s latest patch, released on June 18, brings a wave of improvements for both PS5 and PC players, targeting everything from progression bugs to visual polish.

While Stellar Blade has already made a strong impression on PlayStation 5, its arrival on PC has added a fresh boost to the game's momentum. Shift Up, the developer behind the high-octane action title, isn’t slowing down. Despite a sequel already being in the works, the team is actively refining the base game with quality-of-life improvements.

The June 18 update, version 1.1.2 for PC and 1.011.003 for PS5, addresses a variety of issues that have cropped up since the game’s expanded release. Among the most notable changes is a fix for a bug involving the Gigas boss fight. Previously, using the Retribution move in certain areas could cause the protagonist Eve to get stuck in the wall. That issue has now been resolved.

Additionally, the update smooths out interactions with NPCs in the Xion hub area, making conversations and quest progressions more reliable.

According to the official patch notes shared on Stellar Blade’s official X (formerly Twitter) page, several other fixes were tailored specifically for the PC version. For instance, some players had reported that monsters would randomly stop attacking Eve, halting gameplay progression. That issue has now been patched, along with several other platform-specific bugs like AZERTY keyboard input problems, issues with Photo Mode screenshots not saving, and a strange bug where achievements weren’t syncing correctly with PlayStation trophies when using a linked PSN account.

On the PS5 side, the update is a bit lighter. A fix has been implemented for a visual effect issue related to the monster “Scarlet”.

Here’s a quick rundown of what was included:

Common fixes across PS5 & PC:

  • Eve no longer gets stuck during Retribution against Gigas in the Wasteland/Boss Challenge.

  • Fixed character input confusion with the number "0" and letter "O" in NIKKE CD-KEYs.

  • NPC interaction bugs in Xion resolved.

  • Various smaller bug fixes.

PS5-specific (v1.011.003):

  • Visual effects (VFX) for the monster Scarlet’s skill now display properly.

PC-specific (v1.1.2):

  • Fixed an issue where certain enemies wouldn’t attack EVE, halting progression.

  • Screenshots in Photo Mode now save properly.

  • AZERTY keyboard support refined.

  • Photo Mode logo movement inputs fixed.

  • PSN-linked achievements now syncing correctly.

  • Lock-on targeting now works properly on controllers at 120+ FPS.

  • Launch issues for some GPU users patched.

It’s clear that Shift Up is paying close attention to feedback and is dedicated to ensuring Stellar Blade remains a polished and enjoyable experience, whether you’re slashing through enemies on a console or gaming on a high-end rig.
