One of PlayStation's biggest recent action titles, Stellar Blade, might soon be making its way to Nintendo Switch 2.
That's according to South Korean outlet PlayForum (via VGC), which suggests that Shift Up, the developer behind Stellar Blade, is actively working on porting the stylish action game to Nintendo's next-gen console.
While nothing has been officially confirmed yet, the studio told PlayForum that it is “reviewing various possibilities internally” regarding a potential Switch 2 version.
Adding fuel to the speculation, it was reported that Shift Up recently gifted hundreds of Nintendo Switch 2 units to its employees to celebrate its 3 million sales—hinting that internal development or testing for the platform could already be underway.
Sony Interactive Entertainment originally published Stellar Blade on PS5, and recently expanded the title to PC via Steam, where it quickly became PlayStation’s most successful single-player title on the platform.
Switch 2’s Growing Third-Party Lineup
The rumored Stellar Blade port is part of a broader trend. Nintendo Switch 2 features significantly improved performance, which has already attracted interest from major third-party publishers.
Major titles released on the first day for Switch 2 include:
Street Fighter 6
Hogwarts Legacy
Split Fiction
Fortnite (enhanced version)
Hitman: World of Assassination
Cyberpunk 2077
And more are heading to the platform:
Elden Ring: Tarnished Edition
Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade
Hades II
Hollow Knight: Silksong
Borderlands 4
WWE 2K
Star Wars Outlaws
The Duskbloods
Enter the Gungeon 2
Shadow Labyrinth
What’s Next for Stellar Blade?
Following its strong sales on PS5 and recent Steam release, Shift Up has already confirmed that a sequel is in the works, and it's expected to arrive around 2027. However, the dev is cautious that this date might shift as it is already working on its next IP, Project Spirits.
