Team Vitality has once again solidified its position at the top of the Counter-Strike 2 (CS2) world by winning the Intel Extreme Masters (IEM) Dallas 2025, sweeping MOUZ 3-0 in the Grand Final. The victory marks another major title for the European powerhouse with their incredible form during the first half of the 2025 season.
Clean Sweep in the Finals
Held at the Kay Bailey Hutchison Convention Center in Texas, the IEM Dallas Grand Final saw Team Vitality exact revenge against MOUZ, who had bested them in last year’s edition. This time, however, the French squad left no room for doubt:
Map 1 (Dust II): Vitality staged an epic comeback from 8-11 to win 13-11.
Map 2 (Mirage): Continued dominance sealed the win 13-9.
Map 3 (Inferno): They closed the series with a decisive 13-8 victory.
With this win, Vitality takes home $125,000 (~£92,292) of the $300,000 (~£221,500) prize pool.
ZywOo Shines Again
Superstar Mathieu ‘ZywOo’ Herbaut earned the MVP award, bringing his total up to an astonishing 26 MVP titles.
Tournament Recap
Despite limited practice following their BLAST Rivals win earlier in the month, Team Vitality showed composure and dominance:
Defeated Legacy and GamerLegion to reach the playoffs.
Knocked out MongolZ to reach the semifinals.
Faced a tough challenge from Team Falcons, dropping a map but bouncing back to win in the semifinal decider.
Their Grand Final performance was not only clinical but also a statement of intent: Team Vitality is the team to beat in 2025.
Vitality's CS2 Hot Streak Continues
With this IEM Dallas win, Team Vitality further strengthens their #1 position in the VRS standings, having already secured the top spot earlier this May. Their recent titles at BLAST Rivals and now IEM Dallas put them far ahead of the competition this season.
