The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered Brings Back Original Cast with Fresh Voices

The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered

The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered combines beloved voice actors from the 2006 classic with new talent to create a more varied and immersive experience.

This revival maintains the nostalgic charm fans remember while addressing one of the original game's main criticisms - repetitive voice acting.

Several iconic performers return to their roles in the remaster. Sean Bean reprises his role as Emperor Martin Septim, while recordings from the late Patrick Stewart as Emperor Uriel Septim VII have been preserved.

Lynda Carter, famous for playing Wonder Woman before lending her voice to Bethesda games, returns as female Nord and Orc characters.

The villainous presence of Terence Stamp as Mankar Camoran and Daedric Lord Mehrunes Dagon also makes a comeback.

Wes Johnson, whose voice became synonymous with Oblivion's identity, returns for multiple roles, including Imperial males and the mysterious Dark Brotherhood assassin Lucien Lachance. Gamers have noted Johnson's voice as one of the most recognizable elements of the original game.

Craig Sechler, who originally voiced several characters including the mad god Sheogorath (later voiced by Johnson in the Shivering Isles expansion), also returns to the world of Cyrodiil.

In a delightful nod to fans, Linda Kenyon's performance as Tandilwe keeps her famous flubbed line, "Wait a minute, let me do that one again" - a charming error that became a beloved part of gaming history.

Other returning performers include Betsy Ames as Dark Seducer, Bari Biern as Golden Saint, Tim Blaney voicing Argonian males, Jon Curry as Imperial males, and Colleen Delany bringing Wood Elves to life.

Even Bethesda's own Todd Howard maintains his cameo as Alban Corinis, alongside his executive producer duties.
