TMG Esports organization has finally opened up about its unexpected fallout with Team Aryan, just ahead of their joint participation at the Esports World Cup (EWC) 2025.
The two parties, who recently secured a direct qualification to PMWC 2025 after winning BMPS 2025, will now compete under the name Team Aryan x TMG, but behind the scenes, their partnership has come to a dramatic end.
Following Team Aryan’s championship win and a prize pool of ₹1.25 crore, the team publicly announced their exit from the TMG roster. In a brief but firm statement, the team declared they would not be participating in any current or future TMG-associated events. Additionally, they revoked TMG’s rights to use their media clips, POVs, and brand assets.
The sudden split sparked widespread speculation among fans and some of them making thier own stories. Yet, while rumors swirled, TMG Gaming remained publicly silent—until now.
The organization has released a detailed statement explaining its version of events and the reasons behind the split.
At the heart of TMG’s explanation is its mission to "support grassroots talent and build an ecosystem where underdogs can rise." The organization stated that it had acquired Team Aryan six months before BMPS 2025, during a period when third-party tournaments were scarce. According to TMG, they believed in the team's potential early on and offered them what they called a "standard esports contract in India, something most underdog players dream of" — complete with monthly salaries, resources, and full backing.
The turning point, according to the organization, came after the team qualified for the LAN finals. TMG claims that Team Aryan demanded a massive 1500% salary hike, significantly beyond the previously agreed-upon 30–50% range. Despite TMG's "continued support and fair negotiations," the players chose to walk away, allegedly breaching their contract in the process.
About silence, TMG clarified that they initially avoided responding to public criticism to preserve unity under the "Team India" banner, especially with international tournaments on the horizon. However, as what they termed “false narratives” began circulating, they felt the need to speak up.
The organization firmly denied any claims of mistreatment or exploitation. Instead, they emphasized that their support was “fair, transparent, and based on mutual trust.” Misrepresenting this journey, TMG said, not only disrespects their work but also threatens the ecosystem that helps new talent break through.
TMG also highlighted its five-year journey in Indian esports — from launching community events to nurturing new players — and expressed concern that “misleading stories” could harm the progress the scene has made. The statement ended with a strong message aimed at the broader esports audience: “We believe in supporting dreams, not feeding egos. We believe in Team India, not personal agendas.”
While Team Aryan x TMG will still appear together on the international stage at EWC 2025, it’s clear that their internal dynamics have shifted. Will it impact the team's performance? That remains to be seen.
Just a reminder: The PUBG Mobile World Cup (PMWC) 2025 is locked in for July 25 to August 3, 2025, at Riyadh's Qiddiya Esports Arena. A massive $3 million USD is up for grabs. Team Aryan will represent India and compete against the world's top 23 other teams.
