Xbox FanFest Tour Dates Revealed: Here's Every City on the List

Microsoft has confirmed the full schedule for its Xbox FanFest Tour, a multi-city fan event series that will travel across the world through the end of 2026.
The tour already made its first stop in Los Angeles during the Xbox Games Showcase earlier this year. Now, the company is pressing ahead with the remaining legs of the trip, even as it navigates one of the roughest stretches in Xbox's recent history.
Where Is the Tour Headed?
According to the official Xbox Wire blog, here are all the confirmed stops:
Cologne, Germany — August 26, at Gamescom
Tokyo, Japan — September 17, during Tokyo Game Show
London, U.K. — September 26
Mexico City, Mexico — October 17
Sydney, Australia — October 17
Toronto, Canada — November 6
Seattle, U.S. — More info coming soon
The official Xbox Wire post describes it as "a global, multi-city run of fan-first events built around connection, local community, and the games we love." Beyond that, specific details are thin on the ground.
Tickets are not available for purchase either. They are distributed through city-specific sweepstakes, and as of now, none of those sweepstakes are open on the Xbox FanFest website. So fans who want to attend will need to wait and watch for those to go live.
What is known is that the LA event did not feature game demos. It was a separate experience from the Xbox showcase floor. Xbox leaders Asha Sharma and Matt Booty were present at the LA stop, and guests (not reporters) walked away with a special Xbox Series X console in original Xbox green, one of the new editions announced during the Xbox Games Showcase.
The Elephant in the Room
Microsoft recently laid off about 1,600 employees from the Xbox division, and another 1,600 could be let go over the next year. Running a global fan celebration in the middle of all that has raised more than a few eyebrows.
Making it stranger is the story behind the event itself. Xbox FanFest was created by Chris Munson, a Microsoft veteran of over 15 years who was let go in the same round of layoffs.
