The Xbox Indie Selects Demo Fest is officially live from today, September 9, and will run until September 30, giving Xbox players three weeks to dive into more than 40 free game demos.
If you own an Xbox Series X|S or Xbox One, this is your chance to try out a wide range of upcoming indie titles before they hit full release.
Microsoft says the demos in this event aren’t your standard “Demo channel” offerings. Instead, they’re closer to showfloor builds — the kind you’d normally only get to play at gaming conventions. That means these versions are still in development and “may not reflect the final product,” but they give you early access and a chance to provide feedback directly to developers. In other words, you’re getting a sneak peek and a say in how these games shape up before launch.
Confirmed Games
While the full lineup will continue to expand over the coming days, Microsoft has confirmed 4 standout titles:
Yooka-Replaylee – An enhanced version of the 2017 platformer, featuring double the challenges, revamped controls, new arcade games, accessibility options, and an orchestral soundtrack.
Mina the Hollower – A retro-inspired action-adventure from the creators of Shovel Knight.
Echo Weaver – A mysterious, atmospheric indie adventure.
The Jackbox Party Pack 11 – The latest entry in the beloved party game series.
