Xbox has issued an apology through its South Korean social media accounts regarding the delayed release of "The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered" in South Korea.
The statement, translated from the original post, reads: "We sincerely apologize for the delayed and insufficient localization of The Elder Scrolls 4: Oblivion Remastered in South Korea. We are working with the Game Product Control Board of Korea to resolve the delay as quickly as possible. We thank you for your patience and understanding, and we will continue to do our best to bring you a better gaming experience."
This isn't the first time Xbox has faced challenges with game releases in the South Korean market. According to reports, several other titles have experienced similar issues.
Notably, "Starfield" launched without South Korean localization, which remains absent even now. Additionally, the upcoming game "Avowed" from Obsidian Entertainment has had its Japanese and Korean language support pushed back to August 2025.
Despite these regional delays, "The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered" is currently available worldwide on multiple platforms. Players can access the game on PC through Steam or the Xbox PC app, as well as on Xbox Series and PlayStation 5 consoles. The game was also made available on day one through Xbox Game Pass, making it readily accessible to subscribers of the service.
