Amazon Revamps Luna Cloud Gaming With New Games, Party Features, and Snoop Dogg’s Courtroom Chaos

Amazon has announced a major overhaul of its cloud gaming platform, Luna, reintroducing the service with a fresh design, expanded game library, and a new collection of original party titles under the banner “GameNight.”

What’s New in the All-New Luna?

The most notable shift is how Amazon is framing Luna as a “game streaming platform for everyone.” Prime members will gain access to a curated library of over 50 titles, including blockbuster releases like Hogwarts Legacy, Indiana Jones and the Great Circle, and Kingdom Come: Deliverance II, alongside indie favorites such as Dave the Diver.

In a statement to Variety, Amazon Luna general manager Jeff Gattis emphasized the service’s redesigned experience:

“We’re calling it the all-new Amazon Luna, because it’s really been rebuilt and reimagined from the ground up. That’s everything from our UI, the way people interact with the games, to the portfolio of titles. The question for us was—can we make it as easy for Prime members to play games as it is to watch Prime Video or listen on Prime Music?”

GameNight

Perhaps the most unique addition is GameNight, a lineup of party-friendly experiences designed for living-room play. Here, your smartphone becomes the controller, making it easy for friends and family to join by scanning a QR code.

GameNight launches with over 25 multiplayer-focused games, including reimagined versions of classics like Angry Birds, Exploding Kittens, Ticket to Ride, and Clue. These titles are designed for quick, accessible fun without the need for consoles or traditional controllers.

At the center of this initiative is the headline title, Courtroom Chaos: Starring Snoop Dogg. Powered by AI, the game allows players to present “cases” to Judge Snoop, complete with generated evidence.

Amazon also confirmed that an internal unit called Studio 5 has been established to focus on social titles like Courtroom Chaos, ensuring faster turnaround times compared to multi-year AAA productions.

For Prime subscribers, Luna is now more tightly woven into the value of membership. No extra cost for the base library and the option to upgrade to Luna Premium for additional blockbuster titles like EA SPORTS FC 25 and Batman: Arkham Knight.
