“They Don’t Want to Be Seen as a Predator Platform” – Asmongold Criticizes Roblox’s Tactics

Asmongold on the Roblox controversy.

Streamer Asmongold has never been one to hold back his opinions, and his latest take on the Roblox controversy proves that once again. Reacting to a recent video by YouTuber Gwamgo, he tackled everything from predator concerns to lawsuits and even the exodus of creators from Roblox’s Star Program.

Right from the start, he didn’t mince words. Talking about Roblox banning Schlep — a 22-year-old YouTuber known for confronting predators on the platform, Asmongold said, “They’re actively removing people pretending to be kids to weed out the predators, but they won’t remove the predators. And the reason why is that Roblox is afraid of getting lumped in with being a predator platform. That’s what they’re afraid of. They don’t want to be seen as a predator platform, which clearly isn’t working.

He doubled down on that criticism when news broke about Roblox being sued by the state of Louisiana. His reaction was blunt: “They’re so f**k. I told you this was going to happen. Anybody who thought this wasn’t going to happen was retarded.” Strong words, but he argued the lawsuit was inevitable given how the platform has handled things so far.

Asmongold also spoke about the impact of creators like Kreek leaving Roblox’s Star Program, which has been a hot topic recently. He described it as a domino effect, saying, “As soon as you have people that start leaving, it begins an entropy cycle where now it becomes popular to leave. People are doing it because they don’t like the fact that it’s happening.”

But one of his biggest sticking points was accountability. According to Asmongold, the problem isn’t just bad policies — it’s that executives face no real consequences. “I don’t want to see a low-level employee go to jail for this. I want to see an executive go to jail. I want to see somebody who owns stock in the company go to jail,” he said, adding that only personal accountability at the top could force meaningful change.

He even shifted the conversation to how parents should handle kids using the internet. Surprisingly, his take leaned more towards open access. He explained that instead of sheltering children, parents should help them process the complicated stuff they’ll inevitably come across. “Kids are going to see this no matter what. They’re going to look into this no matter what,” he said, pointing out that trying to shield them completely is unrealistic.

Overall, Asmongold’s comments highlight just how deep the concerns around Roblox have become. Between lawsuits, predator allegations, and creators walking away, the platform has a lot to answer for. While Roblox continues to insist it prioritizes safety, many — like Asmongold — believe the real issue lies in leadership dodging accountability.
