Battlefield REDSEC Competitive Series: Dates, Format, Prize Pool, and How to Join

Electronic Arts has officially revealed its Battlefield REDSEC competitive series, a new esports environment where squads of four battle it out in Battle Royale and Gauntlet modes.
The announcement sets the stage for both professional teams and everyday players to test their skills, with two distinct paths: the Elite Series and the Open Series.
Elite Series → top-level, invited teams.
Open Series → open to all players, with a path to qualify for Elite.
Elite Series
Regions: Americas, EMEA, APAC.
Participants: 50 captains per region → 600 competitors total.
Format:
Six Battle Royale matches per qualifying day.
Top 8 teams advance to Gauntlet.
After 3 qualifying days, top 25 teams reach regional finals.
Gauntlet: Extended round timer, specific map/mode combos.
Prize Pool: $1 million total.
Americas: $50,000 per qualifying day + $500,000 finals.
APAC & EMEA: $20,000 per qualifying day + $285,000 finals.
Schedule:
Qualifying Day 1 → Dec. 10
Qualifying Day 2 → Dec. 11
Qualifying Day 3 → Dec. 16
Finals → Dec. 18
Broadcasts: Competitors stream qualifying matches; Battlefield Studios hosts regional finals.

Open Series
Format:
Scoring based on 10 best Battle Royale + 10 best Gauntlet matches.
Top 250 squads per region → finals.
Top 8 from finals qualify for next Elite Series.
Prize Pool: $30,000 total ($10,000 per region).
Schedule:
Qualifying Day 1 → Dec. 12
Qualifying Day 2 → Dec. 19
Qualifying Day 3 → Jan. 9
Finals → Jan. 17
