Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI) Version 4.0 is shaping up to be a supernatural experience, with leaks suggesting a Halloween-themed mode packed with eerie locations, mysterious powers, and a ghostly sidekick named Ghostie.
While nothing is officially confirmed yet, the update is widely expected to drop around mid-September 2025, following the end of BGMS 2025.

Spooky Theme and New Location: Wraithmoor Mansion
The highlight of the upcoming update appears to be a new mode set in Wraithmoor Mansion, a creepy and mysterious estate filled with supernatural elements. The mansion will reportedly feature distinct areas such as:
A botanical garden for immersive exploration,
A labyrinth that adds a layer of strategy,
A memorial site and a plant cultivation area,
And most intriguingly, a magic mirror at the center of the mansion. Once activated, it’s said to spawn valuable loot, release wandering spirits, and even cause sudden weather shifts.
This kind of dynamic environment would add both atmospheric flair and gameplay variety.
Meet Ghostie — Your Creepy Companion
Possibly the most unique addition is Ghostie, a new companion that follows the player but remains invisible to others — unless its skills are activated. Ghostie can be customized with up to one main and two passive skills at a time, such as:
The Floating Balloon skill for lifting players
Skills have 3 levels, upgradable with rare items.
In total, two main and five passive skills available.
Main Skill - Floating Balloon
Main Skill - Guardian Shield
Passive Skill - Armorer
Passive Skill - Ghost Helm
Passive Skill - Scan
Passive Skill - Boost
Passive Skill - Heal
Fly and Fight with the Magic Broom and Strength Potion
Among the new items, there is a Magic Broom (like Harry Potter has one). It allows players to fly solo or with a teammate, complete with dash for speed and a sweep attack that pushes enemies aside.
The Strength Potion, on the other hand, is a powerful ground loot item. Once consumed, it gives a 50-second boost to jump height, movement speed, and damage resistance. However, there’s a trade-off — players won’t be able to use firearms during this buff. Instead, they can leap and slam the ground to deal area damage and knock back enemies.
A Concert of the Undead?
Another surprise element mentioned in leaks is The Performing Dead, a ghost band that performs mid-match. Players will be notified when a concert is about to start. Those who attend can interact with the band — and if they help fix any off-notes by timing their input correctly, they’ll earn faster and higher-tier loot. It's a quirky but potentially rewarding event that ties neatly into the haunted theme.
Potential Collaborations
Leaks also hint at an “exciting collaboration,” though no specific partner or franchise has been named yet. Given Krafton’s previous partnerships, fans can expect something substantial to align with Horor theme with new skins, characters, or missions.
To give some context, the past few major updates have seen BGMI dive into various themes:
Version 3.9 (July 2025): Transformers collab with mecha-themed features.
Version 3.8 (May 2025): Steampunk Frontier mode inspired by Attack on Titan.
Version 3.6 (January 2025): Sacred Quartet theme with mythological overtones.
Version 3.4: Crimson Moon Awakening — another spooky-themed update.
So, Version 4.0’s shift toward supernatural and Halloween aesthetics seems right on schedule, further building on Krafton’s evolving theme strategy.
As always, until Krafton makes an official announcement, it’s wise to take these leaks with a pinch of salt.
