BLAST Premier Reveals 2026-2027 CS2 Tournament Schedule, Locations, and Format

BLAST has revealed the complete tournament roadmap for Counter-Strike 2 BLAST Premier 2026 and 2027 seasons, including event types, formats, prize pools, and key dates. Each year will feature six events, but the structure will differ between the two seasons.
BLAST Premier 2026 – Structure Overview:
Divided into two competitive seasons: Season 1 and Season 2.
Each season includes three tournaments: Bounty, Open, and Rivals.
A total of six events for the year.
BLAST Bounty 2026:
Season 1: January 12–25 (Malta)
Season 2: July 9–11 (Malta)
Teams:
32 participating teams.
Top 28 from Valve Global Rankings.
4 wildcard entries selected by BLAST.
Format:
Single elimination bracket.
First two rounds played online (European servers).
Quarterfinals onward played on LAN.
Prize Pool:
$1.15 million total.
$500,000 awarded based on bounty achievements.
Remaining amount based on final placements.
BLAST Open 2026:
Season 1: March 16–29 (Europe)
Season 2: August 24–September 6 (location TBA)
Teams:
12 top-ranked from VRS.
4 teams via “The Risings” qualifiers.
Format:
Split into two groups.
Double-elimination bracket (best-of-three).
Top 6 proceed to LAN playoffs (single elimination).
Prize Pool: $1.1 million, distributed by final standings.
BLAST Rivals 2026:
Season 1: April 27–May 3 (Fort Worth, Texas)
Season 2: November 9–15 (Hong Kong)
Teams:
Top 8 from Global VRS standings.
Format:
GSL-style group stage (best-of-three).
Finals as a best-of-five match.
Prize Pool: $1.1 million total.
BLAST Premier 2027 – New Format:
BLAST moves to a single-season structure.
A total of six tournaments:
2× Bounty
3× Open
1× Rivals
2027 Schedule:
Bounty: Jan 11–24
Open: Mar 15–28
Open: May 10–23
Bounty: Aug 30–Sep 12
Open: Oct 4–17
Rivals: Nov 8–14
