Techland has confirmed that Dying Light: The Beast, the third mainline entry in its survival horror franchise, will officially launch on September 18, 2025, for PC, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 5 Pro, and Xbox Series X|S.
Originally planned as DLC for Dying Light 2, the project has grown into a standalone sequel — smaller in scale but more focused and densely packed. Long‑time fans are especially excited for the return of Kyle Crane, the original protagonist, who’s back with a grittier edge and a darker story.
The road to release included a short delay in July 2025, with Techland citing the need for extra polish — from gameplay balance tweaks to improved UI clarity, physics upgrades, and refined animations. Early previews suggest the extra time has paid off.
