The German Computer Game Awards (Der DCP) 2025 celebrated the very best of German-made video games at a high-profile ceremony held at the Palais am Funkturm in Berlin.
Developers, industry figures, and special guests gathered to honor standout creativity, innovation, and storytelling across the German games scene.
Enshrouded Takes Home Top Honors
The survival RPG Enshrouded by Keen Games was the night’s biggest winner, earning the coveted “Best German Game” award along with a prize of €100,000.
Launching just a week after the surprise global hit Palworld, Enshrouded quickly carved out its own success story—reaching over 1 million players within its first four days. Today, more than 4 million adventurers have explored its mysterious, fog-laden world. Keen Games has kept the momentum going with regular updates and a strong connection to its growing player base.
Also nominated for the top prize were:
Lonely Mountains: Snow Riders – a premium downhill racing game by Megagon Industries
Thronefall – a minimalist strategy game by Grizzly Games
Enshrouded also walked away with the trophy for “Best Innovation and Technology,” cementing its place as a technical and creative standout.
Studio of the Year and Fan Favorites
Megagon Industries, the Berlin-based studio behind the Lonely Mountains series, was named “Studio of the Year,” recognized for their consistent quality and innovation. Their latest entry, Lonely Mountains: Snow Riders, was also nominated for the top game award.
The community had its say as well: popular content creator Steinwallen (real name: Stephan Bliemel) was named “Player of the Year” for his contributions to the German gaming scene.
“Impressive variety, captivating stories, and first-rate technologies—once again, on the grand stage of the German Computer Game Awards 2025, the enormous strength of German game studios was clear to see,” said Felix Falk, Managing Director of game – The German Games Industry Association.
International Games in the Spotlight
The awards also recognized standout global titles, with the “Best International Game” award going to Split Fiction by Hazelight Studios (Sweden), published by Electronic Arts. It edged out major competitors like Astro Bot and Indiana Jones and the Great Circle in a competitive category.
