Capcom has reported its highest-ever consolidated sales and operating profit, marking nine consecutive years of profit growth across all business divisions.
The Japanese publisher closed out its fiscal year ended March 31, 2026, with net sales of ¥195.6 billion (approximately $1.2 billion), up 15.2% year-on-year.
Net income came in at ¥54.5 billion ($345.4 million), reflecting a 12.7% increase over the previous fiscal year.
These results continue a streak of over-10% operating profit growth that has now held for 11 straight years.
The Digital Contents segment was the clear engine behind this performance. Net sales in that segment rose 15.3% to ¥144.2 billion ($914 million), with operating profit climbing 8.4% to ¥70.6 billion ($447.4 million).
Total unit sales for the segment reached a record 59.07 million, an increase of more than 7.1 million units compared to the prior year.
Resident Evil Requiem Leads the Charge
Released on February 27, 2026, Resident Evil Requiem proved to be a massive launch for the company. The game sold over five million copies within just five days of release. By April 2026, it had reached nearly seven million units, making it the fastest-selling entry in the Resident Evil franchise.
Beyond the launch numbers, the game had a notable pull-through effect on catalog sales. Capcom reported that the strong reception of Requiem pushed buyers back toward older entries in the series. Games like Resident Evil 4 and Resident Evil Village saw a significant uptick in sales as a result.

Capcom noted that a multiplatform approach, including porting catalog titles to the Nintendo Switch 2, helped accelerate user base growth in a meaningful way.
The Devil May Cry animated series on Netflix also played a useful role. According to Capcom, coordinated pricing and promotional efforts tied to the show helped drive sales of Devil May Cry 5 and several earlier titles in the series.
Other Business Segments Performed Well Too
Capcom's arcade and merchandise operations in Japan generated ¥25.5 billion ($161.6 million) in net sales, up 12.8% year-on-year. Operating profit for that segment surged 31.6% to ¥3.2 billion ($20.2 million). The amusement equipments segment, which covers branded pachi-slot machines, also had a strong showing. Net sales grew 13.9% to ¥17.7 billion ($112.1 million), while operating profit rose 49.7% to ¥10 billion ($63.3 million). As per the company's disclosed growth strategy, Capcom intends to "strengthen long-term pricing measures and global sales" as it works toward its ambitious long-term goal of 100 million annual unit sales in its core digital contents business.
