Recent leaks from alleged Capcom insiders point to several major titles currently in development, including a Devil May Cry 1 remake and multiple Resident Evil entries.

The information was compiled and shared via Reddit, referencing posts from known gaming insider Dusk Golem and Twitter user StiviwonderN, who was cited directly by Dusk Golem in related posts.

Capcom has been on a strong run heading into 2026. The critically acclaimed Resident Evil Requiem continued the franchise's long streak of well-received entries, a streak that started back in 2017 with Resident Evil 7: Biohazard. Requiem has already sold 7 million copies to date.

On top of that, Capcom also launched a brand-new IP this year with Pragmata, which has been warmly received by fans for its unique shooting mechanics and likable main characters, Hugh and Diana. The game has sold 2 million copies in 16 days.

So the timing of these leaks is interesting, to say the least.

What the Leaks Claim

According to the information circulating online, Capcom currently has several major projects in various stages of development. Here is the full list as reported by the insiders:

  • Devil May Cry 1 Remake

  • Resident Evil Code: Veronica Remake

  • Resident Evil Zero Remake (codenamed "Project Chambers")

  • Resident Evil 1 Remake (codenamed "Project Fallen")

  • Resident Evil 10 (codenamed "Project Redlife," starring Claire Redfield)

As per the reports, a meeting was held in June or July of 2022 where Capcom gave the green light to several of these RE projects simultaneously. The RE1 remake is said to have been in pre-production since 2022 or 2023 and has only recently entered full production.

Resident Evil 10 Details

The leak around RE10 is arguably the most interesting piece here. According to the insiders, the tenth mainline entry will feature Claire Redfield as the main protagonist. Claire was last seen in a leading role in Resident Evil: Revelations 2 back in 2015, so this would mark a significant return for the character. The game is also reportedly set to use a new engine internally referred to as the REX engine.

Interestingly, Code: Veronica, which also stars Claire, could serve as a narrative bridge between new and returning fans before RE10 eventually launches.

DLC Plans for Resident Evil Requiem

The leaks also touched on upcoming content for Requiem. While a story DLC was already confirmed by the game's director, no specifics had been shared publicly. According to the insiders, multiple story-based DLC packs are in the works. The first one is said to feature Ada Wong, a fan-favorite character who was notably absent from Requiem's base game. Her absence had already sparked discussion in the community, so this news should be welcome for those who felt her absence.

Devil May Cry 1 Remake

Since early 2025, rumors have been swirling about a full DMC1 remake, styled much like Capcom’s Resident Evil remakes such as RE2 and RE4. According to recent leaks from Dusk Golem, the project is now actively in development.

Interest in the franchise was reignited after last year’s Netflix animated series debut, with its second season premiering this week and already renewed for a third. This renewed buzz helped Devil May Cry 5 surpass 11 million sales, cementing it as one of Capcom’s top 10 best-sellers. With over 38 million units sold since its 2001 debut, the series’ lasting appeal is undeniable. While fans are eager for a sixth mainline entry, it seems Capcom might be taking a page from its Resident Evil playbook by remaking older titles to bring in new players.
