Resident Evil Requiem has been a massive commercial success, and now Capcom's financials are reflecting that in a big way.

The Japanese publisher has officially revised its full-year earnings forecast upward for the fiscal year ended March 31, 2026, citing the game's strong performance as a key driver.

Here is a look at how the revised numbers stack up against Capcom's previous forecast:

  • Net Sales: Revised to 195.3 billion yen (approx. $1.2 billion), up 2.8% from the previous forecast of 190 billion yen

  • Operating Profit: Revised to 75.2 billion yen, up 3.0%

  • Ordinary Profit: Revised to 74.1 billion yen, up 5.9%

  • Net Profit: Revised to 54.5 billion yen (approx. $320 million), up 6.9%

For context, the previous fiscal year ending March 2025 saw net sales of 169.6 billion yen and a net profit of 48.4 billion yen.

Requiem sold 5 million copies in just five days after launch, making it the fastest-selling entry in the entire Resident Evil franchise.

But it was not just one game doing all the heavy lifting. Capcom noted unexpected growth in catalog title sales from major series, driven by their "steady popularity." The past year has seen the company actively support both Monster Hunter Wilds and Street Fighter 6 with additional content, and that ongoing investment appears to be paying off.

"In our core Digital Contents business, in addition to Resident Evil Requiem being met with broad acclaim globally, sales grew for catalog titles from major series due to their steady popularity," Capcom stated in its financial filing. "Additionally, Arcade Operations, Amusement Equipments, and Other Businesses all performed favorably."

The good news for fans is that Requiem is far from done. A mysterious content update is expected next month, with players widely anticipating the return of The Mercenaries mode. A datamined leak has already surfaced new music tied to the update, adding more fuel to the speculation. Beyond that, a full story DLC is also reportedly in development.
