FBC: Firebreak to Receive Two Major Updates Post-Launch in 2025

FBC: Firebreak is scheduled to launch on June 17, 2025, for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC via Steam.
Ahead of the release, Remedy Entertainment has shared its post-launch roadmap, which includes two major updates set for Fall and Winter 2025. Notably, all post-launch Jobs will be free for every player.
Developed and published by Remedy Entertainment, FBC: Firebreak is a three-player, first-person co-op shooter set in the same universe as Control.
The game will be Remedy’s first self-published title and will be available from Day One on PC Game Pass, Game Pass Ultimate, and the PlayStation Plus Game Catalog for Extra and Premium subscribers.
Fall Update: Codename “Outbreak”
The Fall Major Update will introduce a new Job titled Outbreak. Players will explore a new Jobsite called the Research Sector. This update promises new gameplay systems and enemies, as well as fresh free rewards that can be earned through play.
Additionally, there will be new Classified Requisition content—paid content that includes exclusive armor sets, sprays, skins, and character voice packs.
Winter Update: Codename “Blackout”
Following the Fall release, the Winter Major Update will bring another new Job called Blackout. While the specific name of the new Jobsite has not been revealed, the update will add new equipment and enemies to the game.
Like the previous update, players can look forward to new free earnable rewards and more Classified Requisition items for those interested in premium content.
As per Remedy’s earlier statements, these updates are designed to keep the experience fresh for the community, with free gameplay content and optional paid cosmetics.
For fans of the Control universe or cooperative shooters, this roadmap offers a promising look at what’s ahead.
