Fortnite’s Star Wars saga has come to a close, and now we’re trading lightsabers for capes. Chapter 6 Season 3, titled “Super,” launched on June 8, 2025, and it's taking players straight into a superhero showdown with DC Comics joining the fray once again.
This season is packed with new powers, characters, map changes, and an all-new Battle Pass loaded with hero-themed rewards.
Let’s break down everything you need to know about Fortnite’s latest season—from story and weapons to bosses and Battle Pass goodies.
What’s the Story in Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 3?
Season 3 picks up right after the “Death Star Sabotage” live event wrapped up the Galactic Battle mini-season. With Palpatine finally out of the picture, the Island shifts gears into a superhero narrative.
Midas is now funding a Superhero Academy, training new heroes to battle a dangerous threat: Daigo, the Mask Maker, who’s been corrupted by the Spirit Realm and turned into a demonic villain.
Joining you are familiar faces like Hope, Jones, and characters from past chapters, as the story dives deep into hero rankings, mystical powers, and a looming battle against darkness. It's essentially Fortnite's version of a comic book crossover—but playable.
New Characters – Who’s in the Spotlight?
Plenty of new and returning NPCs are featured this season:
Robin (DC) – Instantly unlockable Battle Pass skin and map NPC.
Superman (DC) – Mid-season unlock based on David Corenswet’s likeness.
Outlaw Midas – The man behind the Superhero Academy.
Shadow Blade Hope – A more combat-ready version of Hope.
Underground Jones – Still meddling in everything, as usual.
Jade and Kendo – Oninoshima natives returning from Season 1.
Night Rose – Connected to the Spirit Realm arc.
MistRaven (Corrupted Daigo) – This season’s big villain and boss fight.
Plus, the original superhero crew from the Battle Pass appear as NPCs:
PolarityWinn
LazyLizz
AshenMagnus
BentBaton
SpatialTravel
New Weapons & Powers – It’s Superpowered Chaos
The loot pool features a mix of new superhero-themed weapons, powers, and returning items, emphasizing superpowers over traditional gadgets. Notable additions include:
Wingshot Grappler: A grappling hook-style weapon for mobility and tactical play.
Myst Gauntlets: Superpower-based gauntlets, likely granting unique abilities.
Killswitch Revolvers: High-damage revolvers with a superhero flair.
Hyperburst Pistol: A fast-firing pistol for close-quarters combat.
Deadeye DMR and Kor’s Deadeye DMR: Precision rifles for long-range engagements.
Spire Rifle and Enhanced Spire Rifle: Mythic weapons tied to the season’s narrative, with the Spire Rifle dropped by defeating Daigo.
Unstable Frostfire Shotgun and Unstable Yoink Shotgun: Unique shotguns, with the Yoink Shotgun speculated to pull enemies closer before firing.
Unstable Voltage Burst Pistol: A burst-fire pistol with electric properties.
Superman Mythic Ability: A transformative power-up, similar to the Godzilla ability from Chapter 6 Season 1, allowing players to embody Superman’s super strength and flight. This is likely tied to the Fortress of Solitude POI.
Krypto the Super-Dog: A dog treat item summons Superman’s dog, Krypto, to assist in battle, acting as a unique combat companion.
Infernal Defenses Medallion: Dropped by defeating Daigo at Demon’s Domain, this increases reload speed and regenerates shields.
Shrouded Striker Medallion: Obtained by defeating Kor at Loot Island, granting invisibility during sprint jumps.
Boons and Sprites: Returning from Seasons 1 and 2, these provide additional abilities and rewards, such as tossing sprites into shrines to gain boons.
The season introduces a hero rank system, where players start at C rank and progress through performance (kills, surviving storm phases, defeating NPCs, etc.). Ranking up grants full health and item caches, with reaching S Rank unlocks all available Boons—unique gameplay perks like:
Storm Caller – Shield regen in the storm + storm prediction
Combat Acrobat – Reloads your weapons when parkouring
Heightened Senses – Marks enemies that damage you
Plus, Sprites like the Superman Sprite let you shoot laser eyes. Yeah, Fortnite went full superhero.
Battle Pass – DC Comics Returns After 4 Years
The new Battle Pass is fully superhero-themed and includes eight skins:
Robin (DC) – Instant unlock
Superman (DC) – Mid-season quest unlock (or early via Battle Bundle)
6 Originals:
Haylee Skye: a cheerleader who transforms into a monster, offering a dramatic style switch.
Synthwave: A music-reactive skin with glowy cosmetics.
Ziggy: A chameleon-themed superhero skin.
Killswitch: A cyborg-themed skin.
Lightrider: A speedy superhero skin.
Morgan Myst: A witch-themed superhero skin.
Each skin brings themed cosmetics like gliders, pickaxes, and emotes. The Battle Pass costs 1,000 V-Bucks, with a Battle Bundle option for 2,800 V-Bucks that gives you 25 level skips and early Superman access.
There’s also a LEGO Pass launching alongside Season 3, possibly featuring DC-themed LEGO builds.
Map Changes – Welcome to the Heroic Hotspots
Though the Star Wars POIs are sticking around, Season 3 introduces three major new locations:
Demon’s Domain – Daigo’s lair, packed with elite loot and the Spire Rifle.
Utopia City – A shiny new makeover for Seaport City.
Supernova Academy – Themed around hero gear; access depends on your hero rank or gold bars.
Fortress of Solitude – Replaces Masked Meadows and ties into the Superman mythic questline.
Kor also returns as the Loot Island boss, offering her mythic DMR and medallion.
When Does Chapter 6 Season 3 End?
This season is set to end on August 8, 2025, making it one of the shorter full-length seasons. That gives players two months to climb ranks, complete quests, and unlock Superman.
No end-of-season live event is confirmed yet, but with the Daigo storyline heating up, don’t be surprised if another epic showdown is coming.

The new POIs, weapons, and hero rank system will influence ranked play, with high-value loot at Supernova Academy and Demon’s Domain making them hot drop zones. The Superman mythic and Krypto item could shift the meta toward power-based strategies.
