Fortnite has officially announced two fresh game modes coming to Blitz Royale, with one of the biggest additions being the introduction of a 6-player squad format called Six Stack.
The new modes were confirmed via a post on the official Fortnite X account, where the team revealed that Blitz Royale will soon feature Six Stack and Pure Chaos.
While players had already caught wind of a 6-player mode through earlier leaks this month, it’s now clear that this squad-based setup will be exclusive to the Blitz Royale playlist rather than the standard Battle Royale or Zero Build modes.
In Six Stack, squads of six will be able to jump into large-scale battles, adding a new twist to Fortnite’s typical team dynamics. Meanwhile, Pure Chaos caters to more competitive players, promising increased siphon rates (health or shield rewards for eliminations) and tougher opponents.

As per reports, Blitz Royale itself is set to stick around through 2027, suggesting that Epic sees long-term potential in this faster-paced, alternative game mode.
The announcement came alongside another timed event reveal — Unlimited Kamehameha mythics will return for one hour on August 2, following the Super Showdown story event.
