Fortnite’s annual Halloween event, Fortnitemares 2025, is shaping up to be one of the most exciting yet, with fresh leaks hinting at a Scooby-Doo collaboration and the arrival of horror icon Jason Voorhees.
According to well-known Fortnite insider SamLeakss, Shaggy from the beloved Scooby-Doo franchise will appear in the game with multiple skins or styles.
Halloween has become a major highlight for Fortnite players, as Epic Games consistently delivers themed content, terrifying enemies, and limited-time rewards each October. Fortnitemares has already featured major horror crossovers in the past, including Billy the Puppet and Leatherface in 2024, Michael Myers in 2023, and, if these leaks prove accurate, 2025 could be another fan-favorite year.
Shaggy and the Mystery Machine Could Join the Island
The leak suggests that Shaggy won’t be coming alone, as there’s potential for cosmetics referencing the wider Scooby-Doo gang and even the Mystery Machine van. While it’s unclear if Scooby-Doo himself will be playable, Epic has a history of creative emotes and in-game vehicles, so fans are already speculating about how this collaboration could play out.
A reveal-style emote, where characters pull off a villain’s mask, has also been floated as a possible addition, alongside the possibility of themed jam tracks like the classic Scooby-Doo theme song.
SamLeakss emphasized that Shaggy is confirmed to have multiple unique styles, sparking hopes among some players that Fortnite could introduce alternate versions, possibly even referencing the “Ultra Instinct Shaggy” meme popularized in gaming culture.
Jason Voorhees Rumored to Slash His Way In
Alongside the Scooby-Doo crossover, another prominent leaker, Wensoing, has reported that Jason Voorhees from Friday the 13th is also planned for Fortnitemares 2025. Not only could Jason arrive as a skin, but a special Voorhees Medallion item is rumored as well, potentially offering abilities like health regeneration or stat boosts.

This follows Epic’s pattern of mixing iconic horror villains with gameplay-changing mechanics, similar to last year’s chainsaw weapon.
More Weapons and Mythics Returning
Fortnitemares 2025 is also expected to shake up the loot pool. As per reports by insiders like Loolo_WRLD, players may see the return of fan-favorite items such as the Pumpkin Launcher, Chainsaw, Witch Broom (with durability this time), and the Vampire Stake Shotgun.
A new mythic, the Stalker Knife, is also rumored, possibly tied to Ghostface from the Scream franchise.
With Chapter 6 Season 4 already bringing bugs and aliens to the island, this Halloween event could serve as the perfect climax before the next big seasonal shift.
