On September 7, 2025, Kai Cenat’s Mafiathon 3 reached a massive milestone — 300,000 Twitch subscribers — cementing its place as one of the biggest streaming events of the year.

Cenat shared the achievement on X, writing:

“320K SUBS IS SURREAL ALL GLORY TO GOD REALLY FEEL BLESSED. TOOK ME 28 days the first time I did this to hit 300k now only 7 days LOVE ALL OF YOU jobsnotfinished”

That “job” he’s talking about? A jaw-dropping goal of 1 million subscribers. Right now, Mafiathon 3 is only about 30% of the way there. But if Cenat pulls it off, he’s promised something unforgettable — NBA legend LeBron James will personally shave his head live on stream.

This isn’t just a throwaway joke either. According to reports, Cenat and LeBron have already talked about it, and the NBA legend has agreed to show up with clippers in hand once the milestone is hit. The two first discussed streaming together when they met at Fanatics Fest earlier this year, and Cenat later revealed the haircut plan to his chat with obvious excitement.

Celebrity Cameos So Far

Mafiathon 3 has been a magnet for star power:

  • Michael B. Jordan – Featured in the official trailer, building hype before the event even began.

  • Kim Kardashian – Helped kick off the marathon with a live segment, joining Kai for various activities (and even breaking a chair in the process).

  • Mariah Carey – Dropped in on Day 2 for a lighthearted spelling bee, promoted her upcoming album, and left fans with some heartfelt words.

  • Ray J – Brought his trademark energy to the stream, adding to the fun.

  • Jonas Brothers – Nick, Joe, and Kevin spent over an hour hanging out, performing “Cake by the Ocean,” gifting Kai a guitar, and even helping him write a song for his girlfriend, Gigi.

  • La La Anthony – Co‑hosted a dating show inspired by Love Island, turning the Mafiathon mansion into a reality‑TV‑style entertainment hub.

With its game room, basketball court, and dorm‑style setup, the mansion feels less like a streaming set and more like a 24/7 variety show.

Whats next

While Cenat’s personality‑driven content is the main draw, gaming still plays a big role. Last month, he announced his Fortnite Icon Series skin at the Las Vegas Sphere, and fans can expect to see more details — and likely some live gameplay — when the skin officially debuts on September 12 [see regional release times].

Beyond the entertainment, Mafiathon 3 is also making waves in the streaming world. Twitch’s viewership numbers have been inconsistent in 2025, especially after a major drop in August due to a crackdown on viewbotting. But Cenat’s marathon is pulling millions back to the platform, proving that big, creative events can still capture massive audiences.
