Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 has officially been crowned Best Game of 2025 at the Central & Eastern European Game Awards (CEEGA).

The sequel to the 2018 medieval RPG has been one of the standout releases of the year, and this latest recognition cements its place among the most celebrated titles of 2025. Developed by Czech Republic–based Warhorse Studios, the game not only delivered a historically rich and immersive experience but also impressed players with its technical polish and optimization.
At the CEEGA ceremony in Poznań, Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 received five nominations across multiple categories. While it didn’t sweep the board, it walked away with the most prestigious honor — Game of the Year. The competition was fierce, with nominees like Silent Hill f, Stalker 2, and The Alters all in the running.
Warhorse expressed gratitude on social media, writing: “We’re proud to share that KCD2 received five nominations at this year's CEEGA — and took home the award for Best Game! An honor to be in Poznań among so many talented creators. Thank you for the support.”
Released on February 4, 2025, the game sold 1 million copies within 24 hours and hit 2 million in just two weeks. Within three months, sales surpassed 3 million units, pushing the franchise total past 10 million. On Steam, the game peaked at over 256,000 concurrent players, and even months later, it’s still retaining around 10% of that audience, an impressive feat for a single-player RPG.
Other winners at the CEEGA included Silent Hill f, which took home awards for Best Visuals and Best Sound Design. The Alters won for Best Story, while Stalker 2 secured the Best Technology award. These results highlight just how strong the year has been for Central and Eastern European developers.
