Marvel Rivals is gearing up for the next big update, and leaks and in-game lore hint at the arrival of fan-favorite heroes Rogue and Gambit, alongside a brand-new map.

Season 5 of NetEase’s team-based superhero brawler is reportedly themed around romance, with several clues pointing to the X-Men power couple’s long-awaited debut.

According to YouTuber Dylbobz and data miner X0XLEAK, Season 5 will center around Rogue and Gambit, complete with a romance-driven theme. A datamined string discovered in the game even reads like a love letter to the two, mentioning that love “guides hearts home” and adds “an eternal touch of romance.” That’s pretty on the nose for Marvel’s most iconic mutant couple.

Here’s the full datamined text string for Season 5, which sounds straight out of a comic book epilogue:

“Countless legends have been weaved across the Timestream Entanglement, but love is surely the most moving chapter of them all. Like the stars in the night sky, it silently guides hearts home, adding a gentle tether even amid the fiercest battles. This moment of peace is precious because of love, infusing your legendary saga with an eternal touch of romance.”

It’s not just text files backing this up; in-game voice lines also point directly to the couple’s appearance. In one, Storm congratulates Rogue and Gambit, saying, “I am happy that you and Remy have chosen to fully embrace your love.” Another line from Black Widow notes, “That ring of yours, the gem looks familiar,” which seems to reference Rogue’s engagement ring.

Even the gallery cards in Season 4 teased their arrival. A letter from the Grandmaster included phrases like “the perfect Gambit” and “play your cards right,” clearly nodding to Gambit’s card-based powers.

A New Map: The Collector’s Theme Park

Another major addition coming in Season 5 appears to be a new map tied to The Collector, one of Marvel’s Elders of the Universe. A letter from the Grandmaster mentions “unfortunate events” at the Collector’s Menagerie, a perfect setup for a new battleground.

As per leaks, the Collector’s Theme Park will feature multiple zones, including The Garden, Arena, and Private Gallery, all filled with rare artifacts like the Infinity Stones and Tesseract. If that’s true, we might soon be brawling in a place where every corner hides a piece of Marvel history.

Rogue and Gambit’s Leaked Abilities

While nothing is officially confirmed, the leaks also reveal what kind of roles these two might play in the roster.

Gambit is reportedly classified as a Duelist, focusing on energy manipulation and precision combat. His leaked abilities include:

When Does Marvel Rivals Season 5 Launch?

According to NetEase’s official Season 4.5 roadmap, Season 5 of Marvel Rivals is scheduled to launch on November 14, 2025, at 2 AM PT. That means players won’t have to wait long to see if these leaks turn out to be true.

It’s also worth noting that NetEase recently confirmed the team has permission to create original characters for Marvel Rivals.
