Bandai Namco Entertainment and FromSoftware have confirmed that Elden Ring Nightreign: The Forsaken Hollows DLC has shipped over 2 million units worldwide in just two days.

Launched on December 4, the expansion is available for purchase at $15 by base game owners and also comes bundled with the Deluxe Edition, both physically and digitally.
This milestone pushes the Elden Ring franchise past 47 million sales in under four years. To put that into perspective, the Dark Souls series, which has been around much longer, has sold about 40 million units.
The numbers tell the story: the base game has sold over 30 million copies, Shadow of the Erdtree added another 10 million, and Nightreign itself has surpassed 5 million. With Forsaken Hollows now contributing 2 million more, the franchise continues to grow at a record pace.
Part of Elden Ring’s strength lies in its ability to deliver expansions that feel almost like full releases. Both Shadow of the Erdtree and Nightreign launched at $40, making them substantial additions rather than small content packs. Combined with the latest $15 DLC, the series has effectively offered the equivalent of multiple major releases in just a few years.
Looking ahead, FromSoftware has already announced The Duskbloods for 2026, signaling that the studio isn’t slowing down anytime soon. With Elden Ring continuing to dominate sales charts and expand its universe, the next year could be even bigger for the developer.
