YouTuber VaatiVidya Turns Elden Ring Videos Into Lore Bound Book

Popular YouTuber Michael ‘VaatiVidya’ Samuels has announced his new Elden Ring lore book, Lore Bound, which will span over 400 pages.

Known for his deep‑dive videos on FromSoftware’s famously cryptic storytelling, Vaati is now bringing his work into print form, offering fans a comprehensive guide to the mysteries of Elden Ring, Shadow of the Erdtree, and the upcoming Nightreign.

With over 3.27 million subscribers, VaatiVidya has built a reputation for producing high‑quality lore breakdowns, complete with custom illustrations and gameplay footage. If you’ve ever struggled to piece together FromSoftware’s fragmented narratives, you’ll know why his videos have become essential viewing. Now, instead of just watching, you’ll be able to read his interpretations in a carefully curated book.

In his November 18, 2025 announcement, Vaati described Lore Bound as his “YouTube channel in physical form.” He explained that older scripts will be updated with new discoveries, while dozens of fresh illustrations will be commissioned to make the book visually engaging. Artists like John Devlin and Sebastián Franchini are already confirmed to contribute, ensuring the book has the same polished feel as his videos.

The scope of the book is ambitious. It’s intended to be Vaati’s “final” interpretation of the lore, covering the base game, Shadow of the Erdtree DLC, and Nightreign. Major events, characters, and even alternative perspectives from other lore creators will be included. Vaati himself admitted that the project is a huge motivator to finish the remaining Elden Ring videos he still has planned, since the book aims to be as comprehensive as possible.

Pre‑orders are live through indie publisher Tune & Fairweather, the same team behind high‑end Soulsborne books like You Died and Abyssal Archive. Multiple editions are available:

  • Softcover - $42 USD

  • Softcover (with designer sleeve) - $65 USD

  • Hardcover Deluxe Edition (Persian-style wrap-around binding, gold-foil stamping, premium materials) - $95 USD

  • Bundle option for both at a discount - $144 USD

Deliveries are expected in Q3 2026, with ebook and audiobook versions planned later.

If you’re curious, a free digital sampler is already available, featuring Chapter 13: The Endless Night.

It’s worth noting that Lore Bound is an unofficial fan project, not affiliated with FromSoftware or Bandai Namco. Still, Vaati promises it will be his “final take on everything” and something truly beautiful for fans.
