A new collaboration between Overwatch 2 and Street Fighter 6 has been leaked.

The crossover will bring Street Fighter-themed content to Overwatch 2's Stadium game mode as part of a mid-season event.

The leak was shared on May 6 by X0X_LEAK on Twitter, showing promotional material for the upcoming collaboration.

Along with the Street Fighter 6 content, players will also be able to unlock a Dokiwatch Mythic Mercy Weapon Skin during the event.

In early April, the game partnered with Gundam Wing for a skin collection that included themed looks for Ramattra, Mercy, Reaper, and Soldier 76.

Fans of both franchises expressed excitement about the crossover on social media. Many have already begun suggesting character pairings that would make sense for the collaboration. One user requested "Bison Sigma," combining Street Fighter villain M. Bison with Overwatch's Sigma, while others suggested matching Dee Jay with Lucio or creating a Juri skin for Widowmaker or Sombra.

The promotion mentioned a "mid-season" update, suggesting the collaboration will launch around May 20 when Season 16's mid-season update is expected.

While no official confirmation has been made about which Street Fighter characters will appear in the collaboration, gaming crossovers typically feature the most recognizable characters from each franchise. For Street Fighter, this often means Ryu and Chun-Li, who are the most commonly featured characters in collaborations with other games.

The timing of this collaboration comes during what many consider to be a revival period for Overwatch 2. The game has seen increasing player numbers thanks to the popularity of the Stadium mode and recent collaborations.

Blizzard has also released a Stadium roadmap outlining future additions to the mode, including new heroes and maps planned for Seasons 17-19, as well as features like Unranked Stadium, crossplay, and custom games.
