Sony has announced four games coming to PlayStation Plus members in September 2026.
All four titles will be available to add to your library from September 1 until October 5.
As always, once claimed, the games remain playable for as long as you hold an active PlayStation Plus subscription.
Before that window opens, August's lineup of Dying Light 2: Stay Human Reloaded Edition, Big Walk, and Signalis is available to claim until August 31, so do not let those go unclaimed if you have not already.

A Closer Look at the Games
Sniper Elite: Resistance is the action headliner of the month. Developed and published by Rebellion, the game launched in January 2025 and serves as a spin-off running parallel to the events of Sniper Elite 5. You play as British SOE agent Harry Hawker, navigating occupied France in 1944 through large open sandbox levels with multiple approaches to every objective. The series' signature X-ray kill-cam is back, and the game supports full co-op campaign play alongside the returning Axis Invasion mode, which lets another player drop into your game as an enemy sniper for a tense cat-and-mouse experience. Competitive multiplayer rounds things out with 16-player online battles and a Survival mode for up to four players. Reception was mixed to generally favorable, with critics pointing to satisfying sniping mechanics and strong level design while noting it does not stray far from the established Sniper Elite formula. For fans of the series or tactical stealth shooters in general, it is a comfortable and enjoyable pick.
MLB The Show 26 is the most high-profile addition this month. Developed by San Diego Studio and published by Sony Interactive Entertainment, the game launched in March 2026 with Aaron Judge on the cover. It brings the usual suite of modes including Road to the Show, Franchise, Diamond Dynasty, and March to October, while introducing new features like the Automated Ball-Strike Challenge System that mirrors the real-life MLB ruleset, Bear Down Pitching for clutch situations, and an expanded Road to the Show with a more fleshed-out amateur years experience covering high school and college play. Diamond Dynasty also gets new World Baseball Classic content, including stadiums like the Tokyo Dome. Critics landed the game in the low-to-mid 70s on Metacritic, with most agreeing the core baseball simulation remains excellent while noting the update feels iterative rather than transformative. For baseball fans, it is still one of the best sports sims available. Wobbly Life is the wild card of the lineup, and arguably the most fun pick for group play. Developed and published by RubberBandGames, this physics-based open-world sandbox launched into full 1.0 release in September 2025 after years in early access on PC. You play as a rubbery, wobbly character exploring Wobbly Island, taking on absurd jobs, driving over 90 vehicles, customizing your home, and generally causing chaos with friends. It supports up to four players in both online and local split-screen co-op, and includes arcade modes like Trash Zone, Hide and Seek, Wobble Run, and Sandbox for extra variety. On Steam, it holds an overwhelming 97% positive rating from 17000+ reviews, which speaks for itself. It is family-friendly, endlessly silly, and best experienced with friends.
Chained Echoes is the gem of this month's lineup for RPG fans, and one of the most acclaimed indie titles of recent years. Developed solo by Matthias Linda and published by Deck13 Spotlight and WhisperGames, the game originally launched in December 2022 and has since built a devoted following. It is a story-driven JRPG set on the continent of Valandis, a world where dragons share the skies with piloted mechanical suits, and your party works to end a war between three kingdoms. The combat system is turn-based but inventive, built around an Overdrive gauge that rewards strategic balance between aggression and restraint. There are no random encounters, the pixel art is stunning, and the campaign runs 30 to 40 hours. As per critical reception, Chained Echoes sits in the high 80s to low 90s on Metacritic and carries an 88% positive rating on Steam. It is frequently described as a love letter to 1990s SNES-era RPGs that still feels entirely fresh. If you have any interest in classic-style JRPGs, this one is not to be missed.
