Tactical shooter Ready or Not has hit another major milestone, with developer VOID Interactive confirming that the game has now sold over 3 million copies on consoles since its July 15, 2025 release on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.

When combined with its PC sales since 2023, total units sold have climbed past 13 million worldwide — an impressive feat for any shooter, let alone one from an independent studio without the backing of a major publisher.

According to VOID Interactive’s press release, the console launch has been nothing short of explosive. The studio had already celebrated 2 million console sales by July 30, meaning an additional million units were sold in just over a month.

For those who’ve been following the game since its early PC days, this success might not come as a surprise. Ready or Not has built a reputation for tense, methodical gameplay that rewards teamwork and precision over run-and-gun chaos. It’s also been no stranger to controversy, which, while not the ideal marketing strategy, certainly kept it in the public conversation.

The console versions have been well-received critically, holding an 83 Metacritic score on Xbox Series X|S and 80 on PS5. Full crossplay support means squads can team up regardless of platform, which has no doubt helped keep the player base active and engaged.

Looking ahead, a VR mod for the PC version is on the way. And for collectors or those who prefer physical media, a disc release for consoles is due later this month.
