VOID Interactive’s tactical shooter Ready or Not has officially surpassed 1 million sales on consoles just days after its launch on July 15, 2025.
This figure includes combined sales from PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S, and was confirmed by CEO Julio Rodriguez via a post on LinkedIn.
What makes this even more impressive is the comparison to the game’s original PC release in December 2023, which took 36 days to hit the same mark. In contrast, console players helped Ready or Not reach this number in "just about 3.6 days."
Rodriguez praised his team for the accomplishment, calling it “a huge moment” and saying he was “incredibly proud of what we’ve accomplished together.” He also acknowledged the road ahead, assuring fans that the development team is already working on “ironing out issues and continuously improving the experience.”
The console launch also sparked a renewed interest in the PC version. According to current player data on Steam, the concurrent player count tripled around the time of the console release, hitting a post-launch peak of over 32,000 players — the highest since its initial debut.
However, it hasn’t been all smooth sailing. Following recent censorship changes to some in-game content, the game has faced review bombing on Steam, resulting in a "Mostly Negative" recent rating. Ready or Not had prepared for its console debut with the Los Suenos Stories update, which introduced two new missions, four additional weapons, and various gameplay improvements. While some longtime players pushed back against the content edits, others embraced the new narrative and gameplay depth.
For those unfamiliar, Ready or Not is a gritty, immersive first-person tactical shooter that puts players in the boots of elite SWAT operators handling intense missions across the fictional crime-ridden city of Los Sueños. From hostage situations and drug busts to mass shootings and robberies, the game is known for its realistic mechanics and tense team-based tactics. It supports both single-player and multiplayer co-op modes.
It's now available on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
