Rockstar Games appears to be building something big behind the scenes for Grand Theft Auto 6 — and this time, it looks like creators and modders might finally get a front-row seat.
A batch of newly posted job listings is pointing toward serious plans for user-generated content (UGC), modded multiplayer experiences, and even video content tailored for GTA RP viewers.
One of the standout listings is for a Senior Product Manager on Rockstar’s Creator Platform team, located at the company's New York office. The job description lays it all out: the successful candidate will help lead product initiatives for platforms like FiveM, RedM, and related services — which just happen to be the backbone of the GTA RP scene.
If you’ve followed GTA V’s long shelf life, then you know RP servers have kept the game alive on Twitch and YouTube for years. Now, Rockstar seems ready to take control of that momentum by making role-playing tools and mod support an official part of GTA 6’s strategy, instead of something players have to build themselves from scratch.
The role includes shaping the platform's vision, working on everything from monetization and social systems to experience discovery and viewership features. There's also a clear push to support creators directly by building tools that let them develop custom game modes, host dedicated servers, and even make money from their work.
The listing also mentions expanding Rockstar’s video platform strategy, with features geared toward GTA RP audiences. In other words, it’s not just about letting players create—it’s also about giving them a way to broadcast and monetize those creations in a more structured, scalable way.

And that’s not all. A second job listing, for an Associate Compliance Manager based in Bangalore, shares similar goals and further suggests that Rockstar is taking a global approach to rolling out this creator-driven infrastructure.
According to the listings, Rockstar is also exploring “emerging trends in UGC, gaming, and technology” to help inform future acquisitions and partnerships. That tells us they’re not only looking inward—they’re watching what’s working across the industry and might bring external ideas into the fold.

It’s also worth noting that most GTA RP action happens on PC. With Rockstar putting this much focus on RP and modding, some fans are starting to wonder: could this mean GTA 6 will launch on PC sooner than expected? In the past, Rockstar has favored a console-first rollout, but a creator-first approach might change that equation.
While Rockstar is still staying quiet on multiplayer features and mod tools, these job posts offer one of the clearest looks yet at where things are heading. And with the GTA 6 release window still a bit away, it’s likely the studio wants to get these systems right before launch.
