Now that Stellar Blade has officially launched on PC, many fans have been curious about which mod director Hyung-tae Kim favors the most. And no, it’s not one of the many provocative or over-the-top “sexy mods” floating around. Instead, Kim’s pick is surprisingly wholesome—and it stars a mischievous gremlin named Doro from Goddess of Victory: Nikke.

In a recent interview with Game Spark (translated by Automaton), Kim shared that his favorite fanmade mod is the “Followed the player’s Pet Doro” mod, developed by Nexus Mods user xjdyz. The mod brings Doro into the game world as a companion who follows protagonist Eve around during her journey across a devastated Earth.

For those unfamiliar, Doro was first introduced as a fan creation on the Korean forum Arca.live, inspired by the Nikke character Dorothy. While Dorothy is known for blending charm with manipulative undertones, fans spun her into a hyperactive and chaotic version dubbed “Doro”—and the meme quickly took off.

Interestingly, Doro already made a small cameo in Stellar Blade as part of the game’s Goddess of Victory: Nikke collaboration DLC. In the city of Xion, players can spot her darting around the hub’s main area. She’s fast, quirky, and can’t be hit right away. But once she tires out, players can land a hit to unlock a Mysterious Creature Sticker for photo mode. The encounter is brief but memorable—and that’s where the mod truly shines by letting her stick around for good.

Kim explained that even though Doro isn’t an official character in Nikke, her popularity was strong enough to justify a cameo in the crossover event. He acknowledged that adapting a 2D meme character into a full-fledged 3D model came with its challenges. However, he credited the 3D and animation teams for faithfully capturing Doro’s chaotic energy through expressive animations and rapid movement.

Now with modding support on PC, Kim expressed excitement for what fans might come up with next. He hopes more creative and character-rich mods like this will continue to expand the game’s personality beyond its main storyline.

Stellar Blade is currently available on PlayStation 5 and PC. It's sold over 3 million copies across both platforms. To celebrate this milestone, Kim even gifted the Nintendo Switch 2 to all his employees.
