Team Falcons wins the Esports World Cup (EWC) 2025 Club Championship, successfully defending the title they claimed last year.

The Saudi Arabian organisation locked in the championship during the final week in Riyadh, where rivals Team Liquid and Team Vitality slipped out of the race.

What really set them apart this year was the sheer scale of their participation. Out of 40 competing organisations, Team Falcons went big, entering rosters in 21 of the 25 titles at the tournament — more than anyone else. That commitment paid off with a championship win in Overwatch 2 and a second-place finish in Dota 2, adding significant weight to their overall points tally.

As per the pointable, Falcons ended on top with 5,000 points and bagged a staggering $7 million (~£5.2m) in prize money. Team Liquid and Team Vitality still put up strong fights, crossing the 4,000-point mark even though they competed in fewer titles, which shows how tough the competition really was this year.

Founded in 2017 by FIFA eWorld Cup champion Mossaad “Msdossary” Al-Dossary, Team Falcons have quickly risen from a regional squad to a global esports heavyweight. In just eight years, they’ve earned more than $10 million (~£7.4m) in prize winnings, and with this latest victory, their reputation only continues to grow.
