After years of delays, drama, and development shakeups, it looks like Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2 might finally have a firm launch date — 21 October 2025.

This game’s road to release has been… well, a saga. Originally aiming for March 2020, it was bumped to later that year to avoid a rushed debut. Then came 2021, which brought leadership changes, the exit of narrative lead Brian Mitsoda, and the big one — Paradox Interactive pulling Hardsuit Labs off the project altogether. Preorders were canceled, the release window went up in smoke, and the future looked uncertain.

Enter The Chinese Room, who took over and aimed for a Fall 2024 launch… until more delays pushed it to early 2025, and finally to October 2025.

While Paradox had only said “October,” fans might now have a more precise date thanks to a slip-up from Philippine retailer GameXtreme. As spotted by gagadget, the store briefly listed Bloodlines 2 for a 21 October 2025 PlayStation 5 release, complete with never-before-seen artwork and a disc box image (as shown above).

The listing vanished quickly, but not before screenshots started making the rounds. If this date is on point, expect the PC and Xbox Series X|S versions to drop the same day.

The timing couldn’t be better — gamescom 2025 is right around the corner, and it would be the perfect stage for The Chinese Room to confirm the date with a new trailer and maybe even a fresh gameplay demo.

This leak also comes right after The Chinese Room officially split from Sumo Digital via a management buyout. Studio director Ed Daly sounded upbeat about the move, saying it lets them to "scratch the creative itch," pursue their own ideas while teaming up with other studios on the right projects. The flip side? The change followed reports of layoffs earlier this year.

Meanwhile, World of Darkness — co-publisher of Bloodlines 2 — has dusted off the iconic White Wolf brand, turning it into a hub for all things transmedia.

If this October 21 date sticks, players will finally get to step back into the “World of Darkness” just in time for Halloween — which feels like the perfect time for a vampire game to rise from its coffin.
