Fortnite is finally preparing for a major collaboration with Warner Bros., and this time it’s not just about skins but a full-fledged dedicated mode.
On January 13, 2026, well-known Fortnite leaker ShiinaBR revealed that a brand-new mode is in development with "direct involvement from Warner Bros."
According to ShiinaBR, Epic Games has already invited select content creators for exclusive early testing sessions.
The first gameplay showcase is scheduled for January 21, while the mode itself is expected to arrive with update v39.30 on January 22, as per the Fortnite roadmap.
Another prominent leaker, iFireMonkey, shared that creators have already tested the unreleased mode, codenamed “Pimlico.”
Dataminers suggest that Pimlico is designed as a standalone arcade-style team combat mode. Early details point to updated physics, tackling mechanics, ranked progression, and unique character abilities. Many fans are comparing its style to Smash Bros., with speculation that Warner Bros. IPs such as MultiVersus or even Space Jam could influence its design.

This announcement marks the first solid confirmation after months of rumors. Leaks dating back to September 2025 hinted at Warner Bros. involvement, followed by December references to a non-Battle Royale mode tied to the studio.
Warner Bros. has been steadily increasing its collaborations with Fortnite, especially after shutting down MultiVersus in May 2025. That move led to a wave of WB skins entering Fortnite, including Superman, Robin, Batman, Joker, Harry Potter, Harley Quinn, Lara Croft, Mortal Kombat fighters, and Adventure Time characters.
Fortnite has always been known for its high-profile partnerships, but this collaboration stands out due to Warner Bros.’ massive IP library. From DC Comics and Looney Tunes to Harry Potter and Lord of the Rings, the possibilities are extensive.
While limited-time crossovers have included Marvel and Star Wars, a permanent mode built entirely around Warner Bros. IPs would be groundbreaking. Disney may have its own rumored dedicated experience tied to Epic’s $1.5B investment, but this Warner Bros. collaboration could be the first to fully integrate a partner’s universe into Fortnite gameplay.
Speculation continues that Pimlico might revive concepts from MultiVersus, blending fighting mechanics with Fortnite’s unique style. Though details remain scarce, the leaks suggest an expansive roster potential.
