Xbox Game Pass January 2026 WAVE 1 Lineup Adds 11 Games Including Star Wars Outlaws, Resident Evil Village

Microsoft has announced the Wave 1 January 2026 lineup for Xbox Game Pass, bringing 11 new titles to the subscription service throughout the month.

Two games became available immediately on January 6. Brews & Bastards, a chaotic twin-stick shooter set in fantasy taverns, lets players brew potions for power-ups while fighting waves of enemies in arena-style combat with co-op support.

Little Nightmares Enhanced Edition also joined the catalog, featuring the atmospheric puzzle-platformer from Tarsier Studios with upgraded visuals, including ray tracing and performance improvements. The original 2017 release earned praise for its tension and art direction, making this enhanced version a welcome addition for horror fans.

January 7 brings a particularly strong wave of releases. Atomfall from Rebellion Developments stands out as a first-person survival game set in an alternate 1960s Britain, blending shooting, crafting, and exploration with British folklore-inspired threats.

Lost in Random: The Eternal Die continues the dark fairytale adventure with tactical combat built around dice mechanics, while Rematch offers arcade-style 5v5 soccer focused on quick, skill-based matches.

The Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine Master Crafted Edition also arrives, bringing the beloved 2011 third-person action game to modern hardware with remastered visuals and all previously released DLC.

The classic Final Fantasy hits the service on January 8, in its Pixel Remaster form. This faithful update of the original turn-based JRPG has been well-received for quality-of-life features while maintaining the timeless gameplay that defined the genre.

Star Wars Outlaws makes its Game Pass debut on January 13. Developed by Massive Entertainment and published by Ubisoft, the open-world adventure follows Kay Vess as she navigates the criminal underworld between The Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi. The game received mixed reviews at launch, with critics praising its immersive world-building while noting issues with stealth mechanics and mission design.

Wave 1 of the month concludes with two significant additions on January 20. Resident Evil Village brings Capcom's acclaimed survival horror experience to the service, continuing Ethan Winters' story through a European village filled with lycans and memorable antagonists. The game earned a strong critical reception with scores ranging from 82 to 84 on Metacritic, praised for its atmosphere and variety.

MIO: Memories in Orbit serves as the month's only day-one Game Pass release. This hand-animated Metroidvania from Douze Dixièmes follows a small robot exploring a desolate space station overgrown with vegetation. Early previews have highlighted the gorgeous art style and melancholic tone.
