YouTube has taken down a video by well-known Roblox critic Ruben Sim, which allegedly addressed ongoing concerns about Roblox's child safety policies.

Ruben Sim, whose real name is Benjamin Robert Simon, detailed how predators allegedly exploit loopholes on the platform and accused Roblox of weak moderation policies.

He shared his frustration on X (formerly Twitter) on August 17, 2025, noting that no specific timestamp for a violation was given and suggesting that the takedown may have been an automated error. He added that if YouTube does not restore the video, he may upload it directly to X.

Ruben Sim is no stranger to controversy. With more than 1.3 million subscribers on YouTube, he has built a reputation as both a whistleblower and a polarizing figure in the Roblox community. He has previously exposed cases of child exploitation and moderation failures, even creating databases to help identify banned users. At the same time, his critics accuse him of toxicity, harassment, and fostering a divisive fanbase. Roblox itself once sued him, although that case was eventually dropped.

The now-deleted video reportedly covered recent lawsuits against Roblox for failing to safeguard minors and highlighted how predators continue to find ways around moderation. Similar to his past uploads such as “Children are NO LONGER SAFE on Roblox!”, the video positioned Ruben as a watchdog holding Roblox accountable. However, its takedown has raised concerns that YouTube may be shielding corporate interests rather than allowing open discussion of child safety issues.

Reactions online have been divided. Some users on X accused YouTube of "protecting pedos" and argued that Ruben is one of the few exposing these dangers. Others, however, pointed to his controversial history and expressed concern that his involvement undermines genuine efforts to make Roblox safer.

Despite the mixed opinions, the controversy has reignited broader scrutiny of Roblox’s responsibility in protecting its younger audience.

Roblox is already facing multiple lawsuits on this issue, with the most recent one filed by Louisiana Attorney General Liz Murrill, accusing the platform of “permitting and perpetuating an online environment in which child predators thrive.”

Adding to the pressure, a Change.org petition calling for Baszucki’s removal has already crossed 100,000 signatures.

Meanwhile, veteran journalist Chris Hansen, best known for To Catch a Predator, is preparing a documentary focused on predator activity within Roblox.
