The cast list for the upcoming Street Fighter live-action reboot is getting bigger and bolder, with some fresh faces now entering the ring. As per recent reports, The Suicide Squad actor David Dastmalchian has officially been cast as the notorious villain M. Bison, while WWE’s Cody Rhodes is reportedly in negotiations to portray the iconic Guile.

According to a report by Deadline, Dastmalchian is set to bring the infamous Street Fighter boss to life in the new adaptation. While Legendary Entertainment has not commented publicly on the casting, Dastmalchian himself seemingly confirmed the news through a post on his Instagram account. Fans of the actor will recognize him from his memorable role as Polka-Dot Man in The Suicide Squad, and his appearances in The Dark Knight and the recent horror film Late Night with the Devil. With his intense screen presence and ability to portray complex, eccentric characters, Dastmalchian could offer a fresh, menacing take on M. Bison that moves beyond the over-the-top portrayals of the past.

Meanwhile, Nexus Point News reports that Cody Rhodes is being eyed for the role of Guile. Known in WWE as “The American Nightmare,” Rhodes has both the look and larger-than-life persona to step into the boots of the patriotic U.S. Air Force fighter. Guile’s stoic presence and powerful fighting style, combined with his iconic flat-top haircut, make him one of the franchise’s most recognizable characters. Whether Rhodes will adopt that unmistakable hairstyle remains to be seen, but fans are already buzzing about the possibility.

These additions follow an already packed lineup. Roman Reigns is playing Akuma, marking his first major lead film role. Other confirmed cast members include Andrew Koji as Ryu, Callina Liang as Chun-Li, Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson as Balrog, Jason Momoa as Blanka, Noah Centineo as Ken, and Orville Peck as Vega.

Kitao Sakurai (Bad Trip) is set to direct the film, with production scheduled to begin in August in Australia. Legendary is co-producing the movie alongside Capcom, the original creator of the Street Fighter video game series. While plot details remain under wraps, the film currently has no release window.
