Epic Games has confirmed that Fortnite OG Chapter 1 Season 7 will officially release on December 11, 2025, bringing back one of the most memorable holiday seasons from the game’s early years.
The update is scheduled to go live at 3:30 AM ET / 12:30 AM PT / 8:30 AM GMT, with servers briefly going offline beforehand for maintenance, likely tied to patch v39.10.
This latest installment continues Epic’s mission of letting players relive Fortnite’s early days through the OG mode, which cycles back to classic maps, weapons, and skins. Season 7 originally debuted seven years ago, during Fortnite’s first Christmas period, and its return is designed to capture that festive atmosphere once again.
The season’s tagline, “You Better Watch Out,” sets the tone for the content players can expect. Epic has revealed that several fan-favorite Points of Interest (POIs) will return, including Polar Peak, Happy Hamlet, and Frosty Flights. Alongside these locations, a new OG Battle Pass will be available, offering themed rewards and cosmetics.
The loot pool is also getting a shake-up, with items such as Balloons, Boom Box, Dual Pistols, Scoped Revolver, Scoped AR, Stink Bombs, and Suppressed Sniper Rifle making a comeback. Epic has confirmed that the Infinity Blade, the game's most controversial weapon ever, will appear mid-season, adding an extra layer of chaos to matches. Vehicles are also part of the fun, with the X-4 Stormwing returning to the skies.

For players new to Fortnite OG, the mode first launched in November 2023, rewinding the game back to its 2018 map, starting with Season 5. Each week, Epic advanced the clock to the next season, rotating through Seasons 6, 7/8, and 9/10. This experiment proved so popular that Fortnite OG returned in December 2024 as a permanent mode, complete with its own seasonal cycle.
The Fortnite OG Pass will be available for 1,000 V-Bucks, offering three skins - Lynx, Onesie, and Sergeant Winter, and a variety of other rewards. Unlike the main Battle Pass, however, the OG Pass does not include V-Bucks as part of its progression, meaning players won’t earn any back while completing it.
