Rockstar Games’ second trailer for Grand Theft Auto VI has now crossed the 130 million-view mark on YouTube.
Released on May 6, 2025, just days after Rockstar confirmed the game’s delay to May 26, 2026, the trailer has continued to rack up views — and fan reactions — at an impressive pace.
According to GTA 6 Countdown on X (formerly Twitter), the trailer is now four months old and still going strong. Fans haven’t been shy about their obsession either. Comments like “Still the most rewatchable trailer ever” and “I’ve watched it 27 times already” are flooding social media, showing just how much anticipation is building despite the long wait.
The trailer’s initial launch was nothing short of historic. Within 24 hours, it pulled in 475 million views across all platforms, breaking the previous record held by Deadpool & Wolverine’s trailer, which had 365 million views in its first day.
Comparing it to Rockstar’s YouTube all-timers, the difference is night and day:
GTA 6 Trailer 1 (2023) – 265M
GTA 6 Trailer 2 (2025) – 130M
GTA 5 Trailer (2011) – 123M
Red Dead Redemption 2 Trailer 3 (2018) – 40M
Red Dead Redemption 2 Trailer 2 (2017) – 35M
But when it comes to YouTube’s all-time leaderboard, GTA 6 still sits behind an unlikely champion — Subway Surfers. The mobile game’s trailer, released in 2012, has amassed 361 million views, keeping its crown for now.
Here’s how the top YouTube game trailers stack up as of September 8, 2025:
GTA 6 – First Trailer – 265M
Minecraft – 175M
Clash of Clans: Ride of the Hog Riders – 138M
GTA 6 - Second Trailer - 130M
Shadow Fight 2 – 128M
GTA 5 Trailer – 123M
Despite the delay, fans are clearly keeping the hype alive. Whether it’s the visuals, the music, or just the sheer excitement of returning to Rockstar’s chaotic open-world formula, the trailer continues to dominate conversations.
