Hollow Knight: Silksong Switch players will get a free upgrade to the Switch 2 version

Players who pick up Hollow Knight: Silksong on Nintendo Switch will be able to move over to the enhanced Switch 2 version at no additional cost.
The news was shared via a Kickstarter update, offering clarity for backers and future buyers alike.
According to Team Cherry, original Switch keys will be delivered to Kickstarter backers via email once the game launches in their region. For those playing on Switch 2, an additional step is required: downloading the free Silksong Upgrade Pack from the Nintendo eShop to unlock platform-specific enhancements.
While the post was aimed at backers, it strongly suggests that the upgrade will be available to all Switch 2 users, regardless of whether they supported the campaign.

Team Cherry officially confirmed the game’s price: $19.99 in the U.S., €19.99 in Europe, and ¥2300 in Japan.
Players can expect new biomes, insectoid NPCs, challenging bosses, and a fresh protagonist — Hornet — whose movement and combat style differ significantly from the original Knight.
