What to Expect from Nintendo Direct Partner Showcase
Capcom is expected to feature prominently, with Resident Evil Requiem scheduled for release on Switch 2 later this month. Ports of Resident Evil 7 biohazard and Resident Evil Village are also coming to Switch 2, so we can expect them too, alongside potential appearances from Pragmata and Monster Hunter Stories 3: Twisted Reflection.
FromSoftware could bring updates on Elden Ring: Tarnished Edition, which was delayed to 2026, as well as its new project, The Duskbloods.
Square Enix has The Adventures of Elliot: The Millennium Tales lined up for 2026, while Level-5 may finally provide more details on Professor Layton and the New World of Steam.
Other whispers suggest that Black Myth: Wukong, Overwatch, Final Fantasy 16, and Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 could be heading to Switch 2, though ports like Borderlands 4 and Baldur’s Gate 3 seem less likely given development setbacks.
The showcase arrives after Nintendo’s recent livestreams dedicated to The Super Mario Galaxy Movie and Tomodachi Life: Living the Dream, setting the stage for a busy year of announcements.
